Event Designed to Enhance Customer Experience and Strengthen Telco Leader’s Customer Focus

Members of Ooredoo Group, Ooredoo Qatar Higher Management Teams Visit Ooredoo Operations to Interact Directly with Customers and Staff

Doha, Qatar

Qatar’s leading telecommunications operator has announced it held its first Customer Day, aimed at enhancing the Customer Experience as part of its brand growth journey. Customer Experience is at the centre of Ooredoo’s recent brand refresh and the launch of its new tagline, Upgrade Your World.

Held on Tuesday 30 August 2022, Customer Day is testament to the operator’s commitment to emphasising the customer journey across the organisation, and to strengthening its reputation as customer-focused brand.

As part of the event, members of Ooredoo Group and Ooredoo Qatar higher management teams visited different Ooredoo operations – such as retail shops and call centres – to interact directly with customers and staff, experiencing first-hand everyday occurrences and gaining further insight into the customer’s point of view.

The event was designed to deepen engagement and interaction opportunities with both customers and front-line staff, with the telco leader encouraging participation and representation from all departments and levels in order to enable higher management to assess company operations by drawing upon customer and staff perspectives alike.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani, Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Qatar, said: “We are proud of our commitment to our customers, made evident by our focus on complete customer satisfaction, and of our commitment to our staff to create an environment which enables them to provide the best possible service to our customers. Conducted under the slogan ‘We Care’, Customer Day – inspired by our commitment to upgrading our customers’ worlds – gave us the opportunity to take a good look at our operations and develop a greater understanding of the customer experience from the ground up. Our sincere thanks go to all involved in making this important event happen.”

To commemorate Customer Day, Ooredoo gave all Prepaid and Postpaid customers 1GB free data, with customers on Unlimited Data plans receiving 500 free Nojoom Points.

Customer Day is also celebrated with an annual one-day event at Ooredoo Group and across its operating companies.
