Telco Leader Granted VIP Customer Status by General Authority of Customs

Ooredoo has announced it has joined the Authorised Economic Operator Programme, the General Authority of Customs’ prestigious programme recognising companies’ commitments to international standards.
Ooredoo was conferred the coveted status of VIP Customer by H.E. the Chairman of the General Authority of Customs (GAC), Ahmed Bin Abdulla Al Jamal, with Sabah Rabiah Al-Kuwari – Director PR at Ooredoo – receiving the coveted certificate on behalf of Ooredoo.
The Authorised Economic Operator Programme is a national programme that grants special benefits to companies that have a proven commitment to international approved conditions, requirements and standards of safety and security.
According to evaluations carried out by the GAC, companies joining the Programme are ‘trusted and considered to be an approved economic operators’, and those that ‘contribute to strengthening and supporting the supply chain in international trade’.
Sabah Rabiah Al-Kuwari said: “I am proud to accept this honour on behalf of Ooredoo.
