Ooredoo showcases digital innovations and capabilities at the 3rd Middle East Enterprise AI and Analytics Summit

Ooredoo – Qatar’s leading ICT provider – participated at the 3rd Middle East Enterprise AI and Analytics Summit, which took place on Thursday 27 October 2022 at the JW Marriott Marquis, Qatar.

The Qatar edition of the annual summit brought together high level delegates from the Middle East region to exchange views on AI and Analytics implementation, streamlining and scalability best practices. Speaking at the event were Mariam Ahmed Al-Khal, Sr. Director ICT Product Development, Ali Danish Malik, Head of Analytics, Ooredoo Qatar and Amna Ahmed Al Mazroei, Assistant Director of HR Transformation, Ooredoo Group.

Mariam Al-Khal opened the conference with an address highlighting the importance of Data and AI capabilities in Qatar’s organisations, enabled by digital innovations including 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT). She also touched upon the launch of TASMU Smart Qatar program, on which Ooredoo collaborated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, as a recent example of the successful deployment of data-driven strategies to power smart solutions.

Ali Danish later spoke about igitalizati of data and analytics in the field of telecommunications, with specific examples of how telcos like Ooredoo are unlocking the tremendous benefits of technological developments such as automation, AI, advanced analytics and Machine Learning. Among other examples, he highlighted the ability to offer Data as a Service (DaaS), thus opening up new revenue streams and igitaliza the valuable insights generated from a robust AI-powered data processing and analysing mechanism.

Amna Al Mazroei then complimented the discussion of digital transformation and AI in the field of telecommunications by emphasizing on the efforts needed to upskill and reskill the workforce for the future by adopting a culture of continuous learning and having an immersive technology enabled learning experience.
