Ooredoo Forges Strategic Partnership with Maidan Sports Center to Empower Local Sports Talent

Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading telecommunications provider, signed a strategic partnership agreement with Maidan Sports Center, officially designating the Center as powered by Ooredoo.
As part of the official launch of the partnership, a signing ceremony was held at Maidan Sports Center, attended by senior representatives from both entities. The agreement was formally signed by Sabah Rabiah Al Kuwari, Senior Director of Marketing Communications at Ooredoo Qatar, and Saud Al-Dolaimi, Managing Director of Maidan Sports Center. The event marked a shared commitment to advancing local sports and empowering Qatari athletes through meaningful collaboration and community engagement.
As part of this collaboration, Ooredoo will be Title Sponsor for the Ooredoo Padel Challenge Tournament, scheduled to take place from 5 to 10 November 2025, exclusively for Qatari players. The tournament will be held at Maidan Sports Center and aims to spotlight the growing popularity of padel in Qatar while providing a competitive platform for emerging athletes to showcase their skills.
Another aspect of the agreement is that Ooredoo will be granted prominent branding visibility across Maidan Sports Center’s facilities, reinforcing its presence in the thriving padel sports scene in Qatar. This partnership aligns with Ooredoo’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and youth empowerment objectives, aiming to promote healthier lifestyles and engage the community through sport.
