Recognition for Recruitment Efforts and Progressive Vision
Doha, Qatar
Ooredoo — a key contributor to the realisation of Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and its Human development pillar — has received an award from the Ministry of Labour at a ceremony to recognise leading, distinguished private sector establishments that support Qatarisation in the workplace.
Ooredoo’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Eman Mubarak Al Khater, received the award on the telco leader’s behalf during the ceremony, which was held under the patronage of Qatar Labour Minister, H.E Dr. Ali Bin Samikh Al Marri, on 28 September 2022 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
Eman Mubarak Al Khater said: “It is a great honour to receive an accolade for our contribution to the implementation of Qatarisation in the workplace. Such recognition reflects well on our ongoing campaign to ensure that Ooredoo – now newly rebranded and guided by the customer-centric desire to ‘Upgrade Your World’ – is an employer of choice in Qatar. Indeed, we were rightfully proud to be named a Best Place to Work in Qatar in 2021. We wholeheartedly support the Ministry of Labour in its efforts, with Qatarisation as a key priority, to ensure opportunities for nationals in major private sector companies, and look forward to a promising future with a workforce enhanced by the brightest of Qatari talents.”
Ooredoo’s comprehensive Qatarisation programme – which has ensured that more than 43% of roles at Ooredoo go to Qatari nationals – and its award-winning talent development programmes have enabled the telco leader to make solid progress towards building a fully knowledge-based organisation, well-placed to meet the ambitious goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
