Ooredoo Displays Artworks from The Art and The Mobile Initiative

Doha, Qatar
Artworks created as part of a cultural initiative organised by Ooredoo and Qatar Museums went on display at Ooredoo HQ.

Artists taking part in The Art and The Mobile – a unique project intended to enrich Qatar’s cultural and artistic scene and showcase its young and upcoming artists – were given smartphones to use as their canvas, turning the devices into creative masterpieces.

A select group of artists was chosen to take part in the challenge, with each artist being given two to three devices depending on technique used.

Fatima Sultan Al-Kuwari, Chief Consumer Officer at Ooredoo, said: “We were delighted to see the incredible works created by our talented artists as part of this initiative. One of the key pillars of our corporate social responsibility is a firm commitment to supporting the communities in which we operate, and we’re proud to be working with Qatar Museums on such a worthwhile project to promote arts and culture in our communities. We’re sure everyone will enjoy seeing these unique pieces when they go on display to the public soon.”

The finished masterpieces will be exhibited for the public at the Qatar Fire Station later this month, and part of the collection will be donated or auctioned for a worthy cause in Qatar.
