Telco Leader to be Official Telecommunications Supporter of Qatar Charity Winter Caravan Campaign

Ooredoo has announced it is to be Official Telecommunications Supporter of Qatar Charity’s new campaign, Winter Caravan.

Winter Caravan is an initiative to help provide essentials such as shelter, food and warmth to thousands of refugees in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan. Aid will be provided in convoys, funded by donations.

Supporters can make donations to the campaign via the Qatar Charity website and watch as donations help move each aid convoy forward. The campaign will run in three phases; the Warmth Convoy, the Peace Convoy and the Mercy Convoy.

Sabah Rabiah Al-Kuwari, Director PR at Ooredoo, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Qatar Charity with this invaluable initiative, as part of our corporate social responsibility strategy. In 2021 nobody should be without shelter, food and warmth, yet we know so many refugees lack even these basic human essentials. We would ask everyone who’s able to donate, even a riyal or two, to do so and help make life a little more bearable in the refugee camps around the region.”
