8 of World’s Top 10 Women’s Tennis Stars to Compete

Qatar’s leading telecommunications operator has announced it is to be Silver Sponsor for the upcoming 2020 Qatar Total Open.
The prestigious women’s tennis tournament is set to be held from 23-29 February 2020 at Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha.
This year’s event – the 18th edition – has eight of the world’s top-ten players lined up to play, including the World No. 1 and 2019 French Open champion Ashleigh Barty; World No. 2 and 2017 champion Karolina Pliskova; World No. 4 and 2014 champion Simona Halep; World No. 5 and 2019 Wimbledon semi-finalist Elina Svitolina; World No. 6 and 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu; World No. 7 Belinda Bencic; World No. 8 and 2018 champion Petra Kvitova; and World No. 10 Kiki Bertens. Defending champion Elise Mertens will also return in an attempt to keep her title.
A total of 64 players will battle it out for top spot in the singles event, while 32 teams take each other on for the doubles title.
