Plan Details

  • Ooredoo Shahry+ Family Pro and Shahry+ Family Premium plans (“Family Plans”) include multiple mobile lines under one tariff plan and bill.
  • Family Plan allowances are aligned to the bill cycle. Allowances are refreshed every time a new billing cycle starts.
  • There will be no carryover of any allowances within the packs. Once the bill is issued, any unused allowance from the selected packs will be forfeited.
  • If a customer needs more allowances, additional subscriptions are available at an additional cost. Customers can choose recurrent or one-time options. Recurrent options will be renewed monthly, along with the main plan allowances. One-time subscriptions will expire at the end of the billing cycle.
  • Secondary lines:
    • Secondary lines are available as part of a choice. Customers can choose any type of line to be activated for each individual service included in the Family plan.
    • Secondary line type can be requested to be changed at any time. The requested change will be applicable from the start of the next billing cycle.
    • When the “Allowance for Hala” option is selected as a secondary line option, Family plan owner needs to select which Hala number he wants to send allowances to. Hala line can belong to the same customer or can be owned by any 3rd Party customer.
    • “Allowance for Hala” will be activated on selected Hala number each month until the owner of Family Line cancels it or Hala Line is terminated.
    • If Hala line, which is getting “Allowance for Hala” benefit needs more allowances or other types of allowances, then it can use regular Hala services, recharges, Top-ups and Pay as you go rates. Family tariff will not be charged for any additional usage or subscriptions made by Hala line.
    • In addition to data and calling allowances, ”Allowance for Hala” benefit provides a 30-day line validity extension to the Hala line on which benefit is activated.
    • As part of being linked with Family plan, Hala line can make unlimited local calls between all Family lines related to that Family Tariff Plan.
  • Data:
    • Main line on Shahry+ Family Pro plan gives 30 GB of local data at full-speed. After consuming 100% of full speed allowances, speed will be reduced to 512kbps and the customer can enjoy 500 GB at this speed. After the consumption of the additional 500 GB, speed will be reduced to 128Kbps where customer can still have unlimited access to the internet at the slower speed.
    • Main line on Shahry+ Family Premium plan gives 100 GB of local data at full-speed. After consuming 100% of full-speed allowances, speed will be reduced to 10Mbps and the customer will enjoy 500 GB at this speed. After the consumption of the additional 500 GB, speed will be reduced to 128Kbps where the customer can still have unlimited access to the internet at the slower speed.
    • Secondary Kids Line provides 15 GB of local data at full-speed. After consuming 100% of allowances given, speed will be throttled up to 128Kbps, and the customer can still enjoy unlimited access to the internet at the slower speed.
    • Secondary Data Only Line provides 75 GB of local data at full-speed. After consuming 100% of the allowances given, speed will be throttled up to 128Kbps and the customer can still enjoy unlimited access to the internet at the slower speed.
    • Secondary “Allowance for Hala” allowance bundle provides 12 GB of local data at full-speed. After consuming 100% of allowances given, speed will be throttled up to 128Kbps and the customer can still enjoy unlimited access to the internet at the slower speed.
  • WhatsApp and Social Media Data:
  • The WhatsApp benefit is automatically available for Main lines, secondary Kids line, and the “Allowance for Hala” bundle under Family Plan.
  • The Social Data benefit is automatically available only for Main lines under Family Plan.
  • Lines that include WhatsApp data allowances, the main data allowance will not be consumed when using WhatsApp services via local data service.
  • Lines that include WhatsApp and Social Media data allowances, the main data allowance will not be consumed when using WhatsApp, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and Google Maps services via local data service.
  • WhatsApp and Social Media data allowances exclude third-party content, which refers to any content that opens outside social media applications.
  • WhatsApp and Social Media data is only valid when using the official Social Media apps of applicable Social Media services.
  • WhatsApp and Social Media data consumption accessed with the use of VPN will affect the identification of data traffic and will not be considered as part of the WhatsApp and Social Media data allowances.
  • The benefit of this feature is restricted to local use only.
  • Therefore, using WhatsApp and Social Media data while roaming will consume available roaming data allowance or be charged as out of bundle.
  • The WhatsApp and Social Media data-included benefit is intended for personal use only and cannot be used for commercial activities nor for mass broadcasting purposes. Customers whose usage is deemed excessive will be notified in advance and, if excessive usage continues, may be subject to service termination.
  • Local Calls and SMS:
    • Fair Usage Policy (FUP) of Unlimited calling & SMS allowances for All Main lines of Family Plans is 20,000 Units per month.
    • All Main and Secondary lines, including the Hala line that receives the “Allowances for Hala” bundle, are eligible to make unlimited complimentary calls within the same Family plan.
  • International allowances:
    • International minutes and SMS included in Family Plans that are marked Partner Destinations, Non-Partner Destinations, or geographical regions such as Levant, Maghreb, Europe, etc are applicable for these destinations.
    • Customers using the Family plans have the flexibility to change provided shared international allowances to another destination at no additional charge. Subscribers can request a change of international destination anytime, and the change will apply to the next bill cycle.
    • Minutes can be changed on the Ooredoo app, customer support via WhatsApp, customer support by calling 111 or at any Ooredoo Store.
    • Shared allowances provided as part of Family plans will be used on first come first served basis among Main Lines under Family plan and Kids Lines if any are active.
  • Customers wishing to enable international calls at standard rates for Main lines under Family Plan should unsubscribe from Worry-Free Key. Standard rates will apply.
  • Roaming allowances
    • Shahry+ Family Premium have additional roaming data allowances which are valid on Ooredoo Passport partner networks
    • “NO PERMANENT ROAMING” clause – Family plans are for personal use only. Ooredoo will monitor the use of Family plans and may, as appropriate, restrict the long-term continuous usage of roaming. The specific terms of such a restriction will be explained at the time of its introduction.
    • Any data usage in other destinations or outside any plan allowances will be restricted by default using Worry-Free Key, which protects the customer from unexpected charges.
    • Customers who want to enable standard roaming data rates should unsubscribe from Worry-Free Key. Standard roaming rates will apply
  • Extra Benefits:
    • Subscriptions to the extra benefits can be redeemed only on the Ooredoo App.
    • Customers may select benefits based on the number of extra options available in their package for each billing cycle. If a customer subscribes to a benefit mid-cycle, they can only change it after 30 days. Once redeemed, benefits can also be switched to another after 30 days. Customers should request to stop their current benefit before the billing cycle ends, and any new benefit will become available at the start of the next cycle.
    • Once the inactive subscription is cancelled, the customer can select the same benefit again or choose a different one from the available options
    • Any extra-benefit will be revoked if the customer does not use it for 3 consecutive months.
  • Standard out-of-bundle rates applicable to all Ooredoo postpaid plans apply to Family Plans
  • Worry Free Key is available for Main and Secondary lines to be activated.
  • Customers who used ETR discount while a activating new Main or Secondary line as part of the Family Plan will have to pay prorated value (based on remaining months) of used ETR discount If the customer terminates the line or downgrades the tariff plan to a lower value earlier than 12 months period.
