Ooredoo refers to the telecommunications company offering this service.
“Owner” refers to the primary service holder of the mobile services provided by Ooredoo.
“End User” refers to the individual granted permission by the Owner to use service and provide their QID details as secondary information to be shared with MOI to allow access with permitted service to government’s Metrash services.
Purpose
The purpose of this service is to allow End Users to provide their QID details as secondary information, with the consent of the Owner, for compliance with government regulations to access Metrash services.
Consent and Authorization
By signing this agreement, the Owner grants permission for the specified End User to enter their QID details as secondary identification for the mobile services provided by Ooredoo.
Owner and End User Responsibilities
The Owner acknowledges that they are solely responsible for obtaining the necessary consent from the End User and ensuring that they have the legal authority to provide their QID details.
The Owner acknowledges that they will inform the End User about the purpose of providing their QID details and how this information will be used by Ooredoo.
The End User understands and acknowledges that any personal data relating to their use of the mobile services will be deemed to be personal data of the Owner and not the End User, and confirms that they do not object to the disclosure of such personal data to the Owner.
The Owner and End User are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date QID details. Any inaccuracies or discrepancies in the provided information are the sole responsibility of the Owner and/or End User.
The Owner and End User agree that the features enabled by the provision of secondary QID details will be used solely for legitimate and authorized purposes. They shall not engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized activities using this information.
The Owner and End User further agree not to use the gained features for any activities that may infringe upon the rights, privacy, or security of any individual or entity, or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
The Owner and End User understand and agree to Ooredoo’s Privacy Policy, which outlines how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed.
Ooredoo Responsibilities
Ooredoo agrees to handle all QID details in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.
Ooredoo will share the provided QID details with relevant government authorities in compliance with local laws and regulations to provide access for End User to Metrash services.
Limitation of Liability
Unless otherwise required under applicable law or regulation, Ooredoo have no responsibility to pay you compensation for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses, regardless of whether such loss could have been foreseen, or any other loss that is not due to Ooredoo’s gross negligence, in relation to any misuse or unauthorized disclosure of QID details provided by the Owner or End User.
The Owner and End User assume full responsibility for the accuracy, authenticity, and security of the provided QID details. Any consequences arising from the misuse or unauthorized disclosure of these details shall be the sole responsibility of the Owner and/or End User.
Termination
The Owner may terminate this service at any time by providing written notice to Ooredoo. Upon termination, any stored QID details of the End User will be deleted in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
The End User may request the removal of secondary QID details from the system at any time by providing written notice to Ooredoo. Upon receiving such notice, Ooredoo will delete QID details with applicable privacy laws.
Ooredoo reserves the right to terminate and delete the secondary QID immediately and without notice if it becomes aware of any misuse, unauthorized disclosure, or unlawful activities associated with the provided details by Owner or End User.
SIM Card Replacement Procedure for Services with Secondary QID
In the event that a new SIM card is required for a service that has secondary QID details enrolled, both the Owner and the End User are required to visit a retail store of Ooredoo together for the SIM replacement process.
The Owner, however, reserves the right to request a new SIM card without the presence of the End User. In such cases, the secondary QID details associated with the service will be deleted. The new SIM card will be activated only after 48 hours from the time the government is notified about the removal of secondary QID details.
Acknowledgement and Understanding of Agreement
This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements.
Any amendments or modifications to this agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
Settlement of Disputes
If you have a complaint about this service, you agree to provide Ooredoo an opportunity to resolve your claim by sending Ooredoo a written description of your complaint, contacting Ooredoo at any of Ooredoo’s Retail Outlets, Ooredoo Contact Centre, or the Customer Care webpage on the Ooredoo Website at www.ooredoo.qa. In addition, you may have recourse to legal fora or other dispute mechanisms, including those offered by the CRA at www.cra.gov.qa when Ooredoo is unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction.
Applicable Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Qatar.
