Put on the watch and turn it on

Hold the watch near your iPhone

Hold the Apple Watch close to your iPhone. Wait until "Use your iPhone to set up this Apple Watch" appears on your iPhone, then tap Continue. If you don't see this message, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, tap All Watches, then tap Add Watch.
Tap Set Up for a Family Member, then tap Continue on the next screen.

Pair the watch with your iPhone

Hold your iPhone over the animation that appears on the watch. Center the watch face in the viewfinder on your iPhone, then wait for a message to say that your Apple Watch is paired. If you can't use the camera, tap Pair Apple Watch Manually, then follow the steps that appear.
Then tap Set Up Apple Watch.

Set up a passcode

Tap Agree on the Terms and Conditions screen, then choose a text size for the Apple Watch.
Next, set a passcode to keep the watch secure.

Pick a family member

Choose the family member who will use the Apple Watch. If they don't appear, tap Add Family Member.
Enter the family member's Apple ID password, then tap Next

Turn on Ask to Buy

Turn on Ask to Buy if you want to give approval for any downloads or purchases made on the Apple Watch.

Set up cellular and Wi-Fi

Add the watch to your plan during this step.
Next, choose whether to share your current Wi-Fi network with the Apple Watch.

Validate your identity.

Enter Your QID number on which is activated your main Postpaid line.

Accept service T&Cs

Accept service Terms and Conditions and choose a nickname for your Apple Watch

  • If your family member is under 13 years old In the Activity app, you can track move minutes instead of active calories, for their Move goal.
  • The following features and apps are not available as they depend on having a companion iPhone: Medications, respiratory rate, irregular heart rhythm notifications, ECG, AFib History, Cycle Tracking, Sleep, Wrist Temperature, Blood Oxygen, Walking Steadiness, Audiobooks, Remote, News, Shortcuts, and the double tap gesture.

The add-on is available for customers on Ooredoo Postpaid plans (Shahry+ or Qatarna+).

2. What’s included in the add-on?

You get 200 local calling minutes and 5GB of local data per month for QR 30.

3. Will I be charged extra if my child uses more than the allowance?

No — Worry Free Key is automatically enabled to protect you from unexpected charges.

4. Can I track usage?

Yes, you can monitor remaining minutes and data through the Ooredoo App.

5. Is roaming available on this service?

No, roaming is not supported for Apple Watch For Your Kids.

6. What happens if I cancel my main postpaid line?

The add-on will be automatically terminated if your main service line is cancelled.

7. Can I cancel the add-on anytime?

Yes, you can cancel anytime. However, the full QR 30 monthly fee will still apply for that billing cycle.

8. What devices are compatible with this service?

You’ll need an iPhone XS/XR or later and a cellular model of Apple Watch Series 6 or later, running iOS 18.5 and watchOS 11.5.

9. What features are available for kids?

Kids can make calls, send messages, set activity goals, use Maps, Siri, and more — all without needing their own iPhone.

10. Are there any features not available to kids?

Yes, features like Medications, ECG, Sleep, and others that require a companion iPhone are not supported.
