The renewed sponsorship announcement was at the centre of a 28 August press conference staged at Ooredoo Headquarter, led by Thani Al Malki and Hassan Rabia Al-Kuwari. C-suite executives from Ooredoo and the QSL were in attendance.

Thani Al Malki – Chief Business Officer, Ooredoo – said: “We are proud to renew our sponsorship of the Ooredoo Cup. Hassan Rabia Al-Kuwari, Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Communications at the Qatar Stars League (QSL), said: “In continuation of a most distinguished relationship and cooperation with the major national telecommunications company, we are pleased to announce the renewal of the partnership agreement with Ooredoo to sponsor the Ooredoo Cup. In addition to the sponsorship contract, there will be joint cooperation to launch a number of new initiatives, promoting and supporting the Expo Stars League. We look forward to strengthening our joint contribution to the tournament. In this regard, I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to the Board of Directors and all the employees of Ooredoo for their professionalism and continuous support for this tournament and for football in Qatar.”
