Ooredoo Supports Kidney Patients, Elderly, and Children with Autism

Fostering Community Well-being and Inclusivity during the Holy Month

Doha, Qatar

Reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility, Ooredoo Qatar, the country’s leading telecommunications operator, is embracing the spirit of Ramadan through a series of initiatives as part of its Experience More this Ramadan with Ooredoo campaign. The company extended its support to patients at the Fahad Bin Jassim Kidney Centre (affiliated to Hamad Medical Corporation), the elderly at Ehsan Centre, and children with autism through a Garangao initiative with The Autism Parents Platform, fostering a sense of community and unity during the holy month.

Building on its legacy of care, Ooredoo visited the Fahad Bin Jassim Kidney Centre, offering symbolic gifts and engaging with patients to provide support and encouragement. This initiative aligns with the company’s mission to enhance the quality of life for dialysis patients, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.

Furthering its outreach, Ooredoo engaged with Ehsan Centre, a key organisation supporting the elderly in Qatar. Recognising the importance of active and fulfilling lifestyles for senior members of society, the company proudly sponsored the Ramadan Shooting Championship for the Elderly, organised in collaboration with the Qatar Shooting and Archery Association, the Qatar Sports For All Federation, and the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

The event brought together senior participants in a spirited competition that encouraged physical activity, and social engagement. Winners were honoured with valuable prizes, while all participants received gifts as a token of appreciation, with support from Ooredoo.

In line with its Ramadan campaign, the company also collaborated with the Autism Parents Platform to arrange a special initiative for children with autism, giving them the opportunity to celebrate Garangao and enjoy its festive traditions.

Sabah Rabiah Al-Kuwari, Senior Director of Marketing Communications at Ooredoo Qatar, commented: “At Ooredoo, we are committed to supporting initiatives that bring people together and enhance their quality of life, especially during Ramadan—a time of generosity, unity, and reflection. Through our activities with Fahad Bin Jassim Kidney Centre, Ehsan Centre, and Autism Parents Platform, we aim to foster a sense of community and well-being within our society. We are always proud to collaborate with key organisations that share our vision of making a positive social impact, and we look forward to continuing these efforts in the future.”

These initiatives are part of Ooredoo’s wider Ramadan 2025 Campaign, which focuses on uplifting communities and promoting inclusion and well-being. By actively engaging in charitable activities, Ooredoo continues to reinforce its commitment to social responsibility, ensuring the true essence of Ramadan is shared with all.
