Virtual Ceremony Held to Recognise and Award Top Achievers

Doha, Qatar
Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading telecommunications operator, has held a ceremony to recognise and award the efforts of the country’s top high school graduates for 2020.
Fatima Sultan Al-Kuwari, Chief Consumer Officer at Ooredoo Qatar, hosted the award and recognition ceremony virtually via Zoom, given the current gathering restrictions due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Fawzia Al Khater, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs, was also present to convey her congratulations to the students.
The graduate students were invited to join the event live on Zoom to receive Ooredoo’s congratulations on their incredible efforts, especially in such challenging times. Each student received an award for their achievements, as well as a gift from Ooredoo.
Fawzia Al Khater thanked Ooredoo for this initiative, which reflects the company’s comprehensive social responsibility strategy, its commitment to education and students, and its enthusiasm for encouraging the young to excel. She also congratulated the students for their success and excellence in this exceptional academic year, and wished them continued success.
Sabah Rabiah Al-Kuwari, Director PR at Ooredoo, said: “We were delighted to host this year’s top high school graduates – albeit virtually under the circumstances – and celebrate their phenomenal achievements in the face of adversity. Supporting our communities and promoting the importance of education are huge priorities for Ooredoo, as part of our corporate social responsibility strategy, and ceremonies such as these are key to creating an environment of encouragement and motivation to develop the leaders of the future. A huge congratulations and well done to the students honoured today, and indeed all students in Qatar for continuing to do their best under challenging conditions.”
