Ooredoo Qatar Cloud PABX to Leverage Cisco BroadSoft’s Platform. Business Customers can Optimise Costs, Boost Employee Productivity with Services that Scale Up as Business Grows

Doha, Qatar

Ooredoo, the region’s leading enabler of digital business innovation, in collaboration with Cisco’s BroadSoft, today announced an upcoming service Qatar Cloud PABX, which is set to be Qatar’s first cloud-based calling service for business customers.

Hosted in Ooredoo’s Qatar Data Centre, the Ooredoo Qatar Cloud PABX platform will provide organisations with a feature-rich Unified Communications Platform to replace legacy Private Automatic Branch Exchanges (PABX).

Using Ooredoo Qatar Cloud PABX, Qatar’s organisations of all sizes and industry verticals will be able to leverage features such as short digit dialling, assigning names to extensions, voicemail, and multiparty conferencing to optimise costs and productivity.

One of the biggest business benefits in moving to Ooredoo Qatar Cloud PABX will be the ability to move to an opex-based model, in which organisations pay per use and by transparent monthly billing. Qatar’s organisations can also easily scale up their infrastructure as their business grows, thanks to running on the cloud on Ooredoo’s industry-leading Qatar Data Centre.

Yousuf Abdulla Al Kubaisi, Chief Operating Officer, Ooredoo Qatar, said: “Ooredoo Qatar Cloud PABX, will provide business customers with end-to-end unified communications and collaboration tools to optimise costs and boost employee productivity. With Qatar’s employees increasingly on the go, Ooredoo Qatar Cloud PABX uses the power of the cloud for quick, easy, and secure communication from office desk phones or mobile devices in any location.”

Ooredoo Qatar Cloud PABX will be hosted on the Cisco BroadSoft Platform, a market leader in Hosted PABX and Unified Communications and Collaboration solutions across the world. Ooredoo is proud to partner with Cisco BroadSoft to bring world-class services to organisations in Qatar.

Ali Amer, Managing Director, Service Provider Sales, Middle East & Africa, Cisco, said: “Using Ooredoo Qatar Cloud PABX, Qatar’s organisations can find a seamless, secure, scalable, and smarter way of working. By running on the cloud, Qatar’s organisations can move from investing in fixed-infrastructure hosted on-premises to an opex-based unified communications system. Ooredoo Qatar Cloud PABX also leverages Ooredoo’s secure Qatar Data Centre and the global best practices from Cisco.”

Business customers can leverage the Ooredoo Advantage, making Ooredoo “Best for Business”, thanks to its breadth and depth of talent, best fixed and mobile networks, broadest portfolio of ICT services and solutions, and trusted partner for 60 years.
