Ooredoo CEO Meets with QFA President
Emphasis on Continuing Support for Football in Qatar, including the Amir Cup Final
Ooredoo, a key sports sponsor in Qatar and beyond, has met with the Qatar Football Association (QFA) at its headquarters in Doha to promote the upcoming Amir Cup final.
The QFA hosted Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani – Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Qatar – where he shook hands and discussed sports sponsorship with QFA President H.E. Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmad Al Thani.
The two business leaders exchanged commemorative plaques, signifying the deep friendship between both organisations.
Ooredoo has been announced as the official telecommunications partner of the 50th edition of the Amir Cup Final.
The Amir Cup is one of the biggest football tournaments in the country, played in every season by Qatari first and second division teams, with 16 sides participating in the tournament this year. The cup final match is scheduled to take place at the Khalifa International Stadium on 18 March 2022.
