Which services can I spend Flexi Points on?

Flexi Points can be used on voice calls (local and international), local SMS and local data.

What is the validity of my Flexi Points?

Validity: QR 60, 100, 150 and 200 are valid for 30 days. QR5 card is valid until midnight of recharge day, QR 10 Card is valid for 3 days, QR 20 Card is valid for 7 days

What are the different denominations of flexi?

There are seven denominations: QR 5, 10, 20, 60, 100, 150 and 200.

Can Flexi Points be used while roaming?

No Flexi Points cannot be used while roaming

Can I activate multiple cards?

Yes, you can activate multiple cards. The points will be accumulated for the cards activated.

Can I use Flexi on Shahry?

No, Flexi is currently available with Hala and Hala Go only

How are the points consumed?

Can I get refund against my unused Flexi Points?

No, the amount is non-refundable

Does my line active validity change if I top-up my Flexi Card?

Yes Flexi cards offers active line validity likewise standard Hala Top Up cards. The Hala Flexi Card
QR5 card offers active line validity until midnight of recharge day, QR 10 Card offers 3 days, QR 20 Card offers 7 days and QR 60 and above offers active line validity of 30 days.

What do I get if I purchased Flexi card?

You purchase a Flexi Card. You receive Flexi points. and you can use these Flexi points in following manner

  • 1 point will be deducted from your points balance for each minute of local call.
  • 1 point will be deducted from your points balance for each local/international SMS
  • 1 point will give you up-to 7 MB of Data usage

Can I allocate Flexi points for my Favorite services?

Yes, you can allocate Flexi points for your favorite service i.e. local calls, International calls or local data. You just need to login into Ooredoo app and in balance enquiry section you will be able to allocate Flexi points for your favorite service as per your requirement.

Can my unused Flexi Points be carried forward?

Customers can activate multiple Flexi Cards and carry forward points in case subsequent card is activated before the expiry of currently active card. Any remaining Flexi Points in a customer’s account will be forfeited in case active line validity expires before the expiry of the Flexi card and will not be refunded even if line is reactivated.

What shall I do to check/validate 4G and roaming services are active on my number?

Call the Ooredoo Call Centre on 111 to validate 4G and roaming services.

How will I know what my roaming data consumption balance is?

To check your roaming remaining data balance, dial *129*5# . However, if you consume your allowance before the expiry date, the rate will be QR 1/min and QR 1/MB until the 7-day period/expiry date is up, after which standard rates will apply.

My internet speed is slow and I received a message that is because of the Fair Usage Policy limit has been reached. What does it means?

This month, you have enjoyed a high amount of data and so your speeds have been reduced (as per our Fair Usage Policy) in order to ensure that everyone can enjoy the full performance of the Supernet, and not just a select few.

Passport
Can I activate Hala Ooredoo Passport whilst I’m abroad?

Yes, you can activate your Ooredoo Passport either from Qatar or in any of the countries where Passport is supported. Subscription SMSs are ALWAYS FREE of charge (even when sent from abroad). If you activate when you are overseas, please use the same activation code.

Can I re-subscribe to Ooredoo Passport once my allowance runs out?

You can re-subscribe after your current passport subscription has expired.

What happens if I don’t use all the data allowance?

If you don’t use the allowance within 7 days from the activation date, the remaining balance will expire (it does not carry over even if you re-subscribe again).

How many days is Ooredoo Passport valid for?

The Ooredoo Passport is valid for 7 days (no matter whether you activate it in Qatar or abroad) in listed countries on selected networks. We will send you a message when your allowance is consumed or when your time has expired. However, if you consume your allowance before the expiry date, the rate will be QR 1/min and QR 1/MB until the 7-day period/expiry date is up, after which standard rates will apply.

What should I do if I don’t receive a confirmation message?

If you don’t receive the confirmation message or if you need help and advice on Ooredoo Roaming or our Ooredoo Passport when you are travelling, then you can call us for FREE on +974 4438 00 00. If you are in Qatar, please call 111.

Can I re-subscribe to Ooredoo Passport once my allowance runs out?

You can re-subscribe after your current passport subscription has expired

In which countries is Ooredoo Passport available?

Ooredoo Passport is available in over 60 countries with selected operators. Please always check the list before you travel as we continually add more countries and operator networks.
If you are connected to a listed Passport network, but not subscribed to the Ooredoo Passport, the standard rates per MB apply. If you do not wish to incur standard Roaming rates, we recommend you turn off data roaming on your device.
We recommend that Ooredoo Passport customers use the ‘manual’ network selection feature within their phones or tablets. If you need help remember you can call our call centre for free anywhere in the world (+974 4438 0000 from abroad and 111 in Qatar).
NOTE: Sometimes there may be a small delay between when you use data abroad and when it deducts from your balance.
The Ooredoo Passport provides you with up to 2GB of Roaming data on selected networks, which we count when we calculate your bill (Shahry) or deduct from your balance (Hala).
If you are using a high-speed data connection, this may happen before we can notify you that you have used your allowance. We recommend you monitor your usage using our balance enquiry service, data usage applications available in your respective App stores or using features that might be available within your device.
The Ooredoo Passport doesn’t automatically renew and once you subscribe and we can’t refund you your subscription fee.

Roaming
Where is Hala Direct Roaming available?

The list of partner operators that provide Direct Dial Roaming is always expanding. When you arrive in a new country, we'll use SMS to let you know if the partner you're roaming with supports Direct Dial Roaming.

How is Hala Direct Dial Roaming used?

If you're connected to a partner network that supports Direct Dial you can call or message just like back at home. Remember to dial using the + followed by the full international number. For example, to call the number 12345678 here in Qatar you would dial +97412345678.

How can I top-up while roaming?

Before you travel, don't forget to take along Hala top-up cards or SSM vouchers. To top-up dial *127*secret number#. You can also have friends, family, or colleagues transfer credit to you at any time - even if you're in a different country.

How can I transfer credit to another Hala customer when they are travelling?

For credit transfer dial *130* Recipient's mobile number *Amount # and follow the instructions.

Running out of credit?

Roaming and can’t top-up? Ooredoo now has the solution! Simply request Fast Credit from Ooredoo that will give you QR 5 in your account until you get the chance to top-up again

How much does Hala Call Back Roaming cost?

Home Zone (per minute) QR 5 Rate applies when calling from abroad to Qatar. International Zone (per minute) QR 15. International Zone (per minute) QR 15 Rate applies when calling from abroad to 'local' numbers within that country, or to international destinations excluding Qatar. In destinations where Direct Dial roaming calls are available, the same rates apply to Hala Call Back Roaming calls. Support of the Call Back Roaming service while roaming is subject to Ooredoo's local roaming partner's policy.

How is Hala Call Back Roaming used?

To use Hala Call Back Roaming just dial *101# international format of the number you wish to call #. For example, to call the number +97412345678 back home in Qatar you would dial *101* +97412345678 #.

Where is Hala Call Back Roaming available?

Hala Call Back Roaming is available where Ooredoo has a roaming partner that does not support Hala Direct Dial Roaming.

Are there any other Hala related services?

Remember that as a Hala customer, you can top up while you travel using e-Vouchers or Top-Up cards purchased before you leave Qatar.

What should I do to enjoy 4G services while I am travelling out of Qatar?

Please ensure roaming services are active on your number. 4G is automatically enabled meaning you can connect instantly to speeds up to 6 times faster than with 3G. Only 4G compatible devices will work on the network.

Is 4G data roaming available?

Yes, it is! You can enjoy higher speeds even while travelling out of Qatar. Nevertheless, your Ooredoo 4G device that you are using in Qatar will function as a 3G device once you are abroad, and you’ll be able to surf the Internet on 3G or 4G if a network is available. 4G is automatically enabled meaning you can connect instantly to speeds up to 6 times faster than with 3G. Only 4G compatible devices will work on the network.

How can I be sure that the 4G roaming service is available in the country I’m visiting?

A list of countries and partner networks supporting 4G roaming are updated on a regular basis on our Ooredoo portal. Please click here to check the latest list. 4G is automatically enabled to all Ooredoo customers, meaning you can connect instantly to speeds up to 3 - 6 times faster than with 3G, as long as you have a 4G enabled device. To be able to use 4G abroad you need to connect to a 4G network in Qatar before you travel.

What shall I do to check/ validate 4G and roaming services are active on my number?

Call the Ooredoo Call Centre on 111 to validate 4G and roaming services.

Are there any additional charges for using the 4G services while travelling out of Qatar?

No, there are no additional charges for 4G roaming. Standard roaming rates per country apply or you can use Ooredoo Passport allowances where applicable with no additional charges for 4G roaming.

What is the Ooredoo Visitor SIM?

The Ooredoo Visitor SIM is a new prepaid SIM from Ooredoo, exclusively designed for those visiting Qatar. Whether you’re on a business trip or visiting for leisure, the Ooredoo Visitor SIM will keep you connected to your family and friends while you’re in Qatar.

Who is eligible for Visitor SIM?

All visitors to Qatar can opt for Visitor SIM

What is the validity of the Visitor SIM?

Initial validity of the Visitor SIM is one month, which can be further extended by recharging with applicable products.

How can I check balance of my Visitor SIM?

Simply dial *129# and you will get a notification message about the available balance

Can I recharge my Visitor SIM, if I run out of balance?

Yes you can; simply select your desired product from the available range and recharge from Ooredoo website: or from Ooredoo App or from any authorised store Ooredoo

How can I buy a Visitor SIM?

You can buy a Visitor SIM & Recharges from the following locations on arriving to Hamad International Airport:

Collect Call
What is a Collect Call?

The Collect Call service allows Hala customers to request the receiving party (Ooredoo prepaid or post-paid only) to pay for the cost of the call originated by a Hala customer.

Who can receive a Collect Call?

Any Ooredoo mobile customer may receive a Collect Call.

Who can originate a Collect Call?

Hala prepaid customers can only originate a Collect Call.

What happens after requesting a Collect Call?

After placing your request, Ooredoo will try to contact the requested mobile number. If the receiving party accepts the call, Ooredoo will call you and you’ll be instantly connected once the call is answered.

How to request a Collect Call?

To request a Collect Call, simply dial *102* recipient number #.

Can I request a Collect Call while roaming?

No, the service is only available locally.

I’m a pay monthly customer. How do I recognize Collect Calls on my bill?

Every Collect Call will be clearly marked in your bill including call duration and the caller’s number.

How much do I get charged?

If you accept the Collect Call, you will be charged the same rate as originating a call. When requesting a Collect Call, you will not be charged. All charges are applied to the receiving party.

What happens if the receiving party is roaming?

In the case that the receiving party is roaming you will receive a Call Me Back message. A Collect Call can be only received locally.

Do I have to activate this service?

No, the service is automatically available to all Hala customers.

As the receiving party do I have any control over the service?

Yes, you have full control over the Collect Call service as a receiving party. You can allow users, such as family members to request directly Collect Calls without your approval; you can block general users directing a Collect Call request to you or even block the service. Simply dial *100# from your mobile and manage the service through a user-friendly menu.

Fast Credit
Running out of credit?

Ooredoo now has the solution! We will send you Fast Credit offer via SMS as soon as you are low on balance. You need to accept the Fast credit offer via replying the offer SMS. You can pay for Fast Credit along with small service fee upon your next top up.

How can I obtain Fast Credit?

When your main balance drops below QR 1, we’ll send you an SMS and ask you if you would like “Fast Credit” from Ooredoo. Simply reply with ‘Yes’ and your account will be topped-up immediately.

How long is Fast Credit valid for?

Fast Credit is valid for seven days.
