What is Home+?

Home+ is a Premium Home Internet and TV service that includes the following:

  • Landline service with unlimited local calls to stay connected.
  • Gigibit Fibre Internet with Fibre-to-the-Room or Wi-Fi best-in-class device(s).
  • Build your own TV packages: TV entertainment and video streaming services as per your preference.

How do I know how many benefits I can claim?

Simply use our Ooredoo App to seamlessly claim TV and streaming benefits. Alternatively call us on 111, or visit any Ooredoo shop.

What are TV and Entertainment credits?

Based on the Home+ plan you are on, you get credits that can be redeemed against entertainment and streaming services. You can tailor your own TV packages with your credits and switch them around whenever you want.

How can I redeem these Home+ credits?

All benefits can be redeemed via our Ooredoo App, via our Call Centre or any retail shop.

How often can I redeem and cancel my credits?

Redemptions are immediate for all our TV entertainment services and streaming. Other benefits can be changed once per billing cycle.

How can I get more credits?

There are 2 ways to get more credits:

  • You can upgrade your Home+ plan and get more credits
  • You can purchase more credits for your entertainment by purchasing +10 Credits for QR75 per month

If I downgrade my plan, will I lose claimed benefits?

If your plan has fewer credits than the claimed benefits are worth, then you must cancel some benefits before the downgrade request.

Are the Credits accumulated?

No, the Credits will remain the same month by month.

Equipment
What equipment will be installed in my house?

We install three types of devices. (1) An ONT which is normally installed in a common area (entrance), fixed to the wall. This device takes the fibre and distributes signals to the Wi-Fi or Fibre-to-the-Room device (2) together with an Ooredoo TV Box (3). The ONT and Ooredoo TV box remain the property of Ooredoo; however, the WiFi or Fibre-to-the-Room device is your property and should be taken with you if you move house.

Will I get Wi-Fi devices which support the latest technology?

Yes, all our Wi-Fi devices included in Home+ plans support the latest Wi-Fi technology, Wi-Fi 6.

What are the main advantages of Wi-Fi 6 technology?

Will I get devices for free?

All new Home+ subscribers are eligible to receive other Wi-Fi routers or Fibre-to-the-Room device(s). The number of devices for which you are eligible depends on your Home+ Plan. Every device taken will be subject to a 12-month liability period. This means that if you stop your Home+ service during this 12-month period, a prorated liability fee will be calculated for the remaining months for value of equipment you received..

What if I need more devices later?

If you are eligible for more devices than you took upon service activation, you can take additional devices at any time. Liability periods will be counted for additional devices from the day when the additional device was installed. One time installation fee of QR 150will apply for additional devices. However, if you already took all devices as per your plan and need more coverage, then you can expand your Wi-Fi or Fibre-to-the-Room network by purchasing additional devices.

Tv Service
Will I get TV set-up-box (STB) devices for free?

All new Home+ customers are eligible for TV box(es). The number of devices for which you are eligible depends on your Home+ Plan. Every TV STB device taken bust be return to Ooredoo. Else it will be subject to a 12-month liability period. This means that if you stop your Home+ service during this 12-month period and will not return device to Ooredoo, a QR15.2 per month liability fee will be calculated for the remaining months.

What if I need more Wi-Fi devices later?

If you are eligible for more devices than you took upon service activation, you can take additional devices at any time. Liability period will be counted for additional devices from the day when the additional device was installed. However, if you already took all devices as per your plan, you can get additional TV Boxes for a QR25 per month fee or for 5 Home+ credits.

Service Installation
What is the cost of service installation?

Home+ installation is priced at QR300 for all new subscribers. This installation fee will be waived for all new Home+ customers in exchange of 12 months service commitment. In case of earlier termination customer has to return prorated value of waived installation fee.

What is the cost of installing additional devices?

Installation of additional devices after initial service installation will be charged at QR150.

How can I order a new Home+ subscription?

You can order your new Home+ plan online and one of our agents will contact you for installation. Just visit any Ooredoo shop and have in hand your QID and details of your residence (location – blue address plate, electricity number) and our staff will create an order and provide you an appointment date when our professional installers can visit and install your services.

How I can upgrade to new Home+ plans?

Simply log into the Ooredoo App, contact us on 111 or pop into any Ooredoo shop and our staff will gladly assist you.

What do I do with my services if I’m moving house?

Visit any Ooredoo shop and bring the electricity number of the premises you will be moving into and the date of your move. Our agents will record the move of all selected services and ensure that an installation visit is scheduled at your convenience. We recommend you change to our new Ooredoo Plans when you move house; however, you can keep your current plan if you want.

Fibre to the Room
What is Fibre-to-the Room service?

It’s a service under which you can replace the traditional cable with high speed optical fiber to break the physical limitation of the cable and extend the fiber to every room.

Why Fibre-to-the-Room service is better than regular WiFi?

Following are the advantages of FTTR over regular WiFi

  • Widest & Seamless Coverage: A brand new digital experience with up to Gigabit speed to every corner of your house & in each room and even while you are on the move inside the house.
  • Consistent Speed with lowest latency : Experience lag free gaming & streaming even when multiple devices are using WI-FI at the same time
  • Zero blind spot : a blind spot is a corner at your house with no Wi-Fi coverage but with FTTR it will be a thing of past.

Can I activate FTTR service on Home+ GO, Prime Ent or Home+ plans?

FIbre to the Room is also available as an additional service for customers on Home+ Go , Home+ Prime Entertainment & Home+ plans.

What if I need more rooms to cover than its provided as part of my plan?

You are free to add more rooms on top of your plan against a monthly installment charges of QR 50 for 24 months ( or QR 1200 one-time charge)

What if I relocate to a new address?

As long as the principal Fibre plan is relocating, your FTTR service can be relocated with no additional charges.

Can I transfer my FTTR service?

As long the Fibre ownership is transferred, FTTR ownership can follow, provided any kind of outstanding device liability has been settled first.

How many rooms you can connect?

You can connect up to 15 Rooms in your house and even remote Majlis.

Do I need to rewire my house?

Our special transparent fibre ensures hidden cabling and offers a service life of 30 years.
