Personal and Business Customers Can Pay Postpaid Bills for All Accounts through One Interface, Increasing Efficiency
Qtel today announced a new innovation to make life easier, with customers now able to pay bills for multiple postpaid accounts through Qtel’s integrated eBilling and ePayment interface.
Many Qtel customers have multiple billing accounts for different mobile devices and different family members. Business customers, ranging from small- and medium-size enterprises to large corporations, tend to have several accounts for their employees.
Before, customers could only pay for one account every time they logged on to the Qtel Portal. Customers who had multiple accounts had to log on and off, and repeat the process for each account.
In response to customer requests, Qtel is now enabling customers to log-on and manage multiple accounts through the same interface. This enhanced service saves time and increases efficiency, as people can have full control over multiple accounts through one interface.
Qtel’s experts are also working on a new partial payment option, which will be supported in the coming months, to enable customers to manage multiple account payment through instalments.
Qtel’s pioneering eBill and ePayment services make it easier for customers to manage their communication from the comfort of their home, without the need to visit Qtel Shops.
To sign up for eBilling and ePayment services, customers can access the Qtel Portal at www.qtel.qa, call 111 or send a free SMS with “EB<space>email ID<space>QID Number” (e.g. EB email@example.com 123456789) to 114.
When signing up, customers need their account or service number. Personal customers also need their Qatari ID information, while business customers need their Corporate Registration Number (CRN).
Qtel phased out paper billing for customers on 1 October 2011, and since then bills have been sent directly to customers’ email accounts using a special, secure PDF service.
The eBilling and ePayment services not only streamline the billing process, but also are environmentally friendly and are in line with Qtel’s pioneering corporate social responsibility strategy for sustainability.
